Are the professionals on Pampa insured?

Some are, and you can see which before you book. Pros can add their public liability insurance to their profile, and it shows on their About tab. Pampa doesn’t check those policies, and Pampa doesn’t insure the appointment itself. If you ever need to make a claim, we’ll pass on the insurance details the pro gave us.

Written for the Pampa app as of 19 Oct 2026 (update 1.0.350). If your app looks different, update Pampa from the App Store.

Reading their details

On the Book tab, tap the top of a pro’s card to open their profile, then tap About. Under Trust & Verification, Insured shows who they’re insured with, the last three digits of their policy number and the date their cover ends. Once that date passes, the pro no longer shows as insured until they add their renewed policy.

Right under it, the profile says the pro declared this and that Pampa doesn’t check insurance policies.

What Pampa does and doesn’t check

Credentials on a profile, insurance included, are provided by the pro. Pampa doesn’t contact insurers or verify policies. The Verified Pro badge is different: it confirms the pro’s identity, not their credentials.

Pros who declare insurance agree to keep it current and to tell Pampa if it lapses. When you book, Pampa keeps a copy of what the profile said at that moment.

If cover matters to you, ask the pro to show you their policy before your appointment.

If something goes wrong

Get in touch with Pampa and tell us which booking it was. We’ll send you the insurer, policy number and cover end date the pro had declared when you booked, so you can contact their insurer directly.

Pampa passes those details on, but we can’t tell you whether a policy is valid or will pay out, and we don’t take part in the claim. That’s between you, the pro and their insurer.
