Read as a pro →What if I feel unsafe during an appointment?
If you’re in danger, call 000 first. While your booking is under way, Help is in the links under it. Tap it, then I need help now, and the Pampa team is alerted with that one tap. They try to call you first, and your pro isn’t told.
Written for the Pampa app as of 19 Oct 2026 (update 1.0.373). If your app looks different, update Pampa from the App Store.
If you’re in danger
Call 000. You don’t need to let the appointment carry on, or sort anything out, before you do.
Asking Pampa for help
From the time your booking is confirmed until just after the service, your booking shows Need help with this booking?. Tap it, then I need help now. That one tap sends it. There’s nothing to type.
The alert goes to the Pampa team and keeps repeating until someone picks it up. They try to call you first, with yes-or-no questions in case you can’t talk freely. If you ask them to, can’t talk freely, or don’t answer twice, they may call 000. A response can’t be guaranteed, or how quickly, so call 000 yourself if you’re in danger.
Your pro isn’t told, and the team speaks to you before anyone contacts them.
Tapped it by mistake? For a minute after, you can say so on the same screen. Someone still checks on you, gently.
When your pro arrives
Before you tap Start appointment, check that your pro matches their profile photo and that their name matches your booking. If something doesn’t add up, don’t start it. Use Need help with this booking? instead.
Once you confirm, your service starts.
Check-ins during the service
On appointments of about half an hour or more, Pampa checks in on your phone a few times, and again if it runs past the booked time. Only Pampa sees your answer, never your pro. Something’s wrong on a check-in opens the same help.
When it’s uncomfortable, not urgent
Choose Something’s not right with the service or price instead. You don’t have to sort it out on the spot. If your pro asks you to pay, it’s okay to pay and tell us straight after.
Add a note if you like, then tap Send to Pampa. The team follows up with you. If you booked a salon, you can also raise it with the salon directly.
Pros agree in the Partner Agreement not to behave in a way that’s threatening, abusive or harassing. Pampa can suspend a pro whose conduct may put a customer’s safety at risk.
