Read as a customer →What are the check-ins during an appointment?
While you’re with a customer, Pampa checks in on your phone a few times with one quick question. One tap answers it, and only Pampa sees your reply, never your customer. If anything’s off, Something’s wrong takes you straight to help.
Written for the Pampa app as of 19 Oct 2026 (update 1.0.371). If your app looks different, update Pampa from the App Store.
Check-ins while you work
A check-in drops in on your phone, and you can tell Pampa what's not quite right.
When they come
They start when the service begins, once your customer has confirmed you’ve arrived. On a one-hour appointment, that’s about 15, 30 and 45 minutes in. Short appointments, under about half an hour, don’t get any.
Each one arrives as a Quick check-in notification with no sound, so your phone lights up but nobody in the room hears it. While the service is under way, the next one shows at the top of your screen, for example Next check-in 2:30pm. Swipe it up to hide it until the time changes.
Answering
The card drops in at the top of your screen and asks how the appointment is going. Tap All good or Could be better. Something’s wrong is just below them. You can tap All good straight from the notification too.
Could be better lets you pick things like Running late, Asked for extra work, Access or parking or Payment question, and add a note. If it could help your customer, Pampa may send them A tip for next time later, in our own words and never with your name.
If you get A tip for next time from Pampa, it’s general advice. It doesn’t say which booking or who it came from.
Hands full? Leave it. The bar along the bottom of the card shows when it goes away by itself, after about two minutes. Pull the card up to put it away sooner. Tap the notification to bring it back.
If you miss one
Tap Next check-in at the top of your screen. Under If you miss it, add a note under Anything we should know?, such as the best way to reach you. Only Pampa sees this.
Tap Save. If you didn’t change anything, the button says Done and closes it.
If it runs over
If the booking is still open 15 minutes past its booked finish, you’ll get Still with your customer?, then one every 30 minutes for up to three hours.
Choose All good or We’ve finished. Only your customer can mark the service complete, so We’ve finished stops your check-ins and reminds you to ask them to do it on their phone.
If something’s wrong
Something’s wrong opens the same help as Need help with this booking? on your booking card, where I need help now alerts the Pampa team with one tap.
If check-ins go unanswered two in a row, someone on the team is told, so a person can look into it. Nothing happens to your booking or your payment on its own.
