Read as a pro →What are the check-ins during my appointment?
Once your appointment starts, Pampa checks in on your phone a few times with one quick question: how’s it going? One tap answers it. Only Pampa sees your reply, never your pro. If anything’s off, Something’s wrong takes you straight to help.
Written for the Pampa app as of 19 Oct 2026 (update 1.0.371). If your app looks different, update Pampa from the App Store.
Check-ins during your appointment
A check-in drops in, you tap All good, and it's gone.
When they come
They start once you’ve tapped Start appointment and the service is under way. On a one-hour appointment, that’s about 15, 30 and 45 minutes in. Short appointments, under about half an hour, don’t get any.
Each one arrives as a Quick check-in notification with no sound, so your phone lights up but nobody in the room hears it. While the service is under way, the next one shows next to the My Pampas title, for example Check-in 2:30pm.
Answering
The card drops in at the top of your screen and asks how it’s going with your pro. Tap All good or Could be better. Something’s wrong is just below them. You can tap All good straight from the notification too.
Could be better lets you pick what’s not quite right, such as Running late or Too rough or it hurts, and add a few words if you like. If it could help your pro, Pampa may send them A tip for next time later, in our own words and never with your name.
If you get A tip for next time from Pampa, it’s general advice. It doesn’t say which booking or who it came from.
After All good, you can add a note for Pampa, or choose Turn off check-ins for this booking. You can also tap Turn off next to Check-ins on the booking in My Pampas.
Busy? Leave it. The bar along the bottom of the card shows when it goes away by itself, after about two minutes. Pull the card up to put it away sooner. Tap the notification to bring it back.
If you miss one
Tap Check-in 2:30pm next to the My Pampas title. Under If you miss it, add a note under Anything we should know?, such as the best way to reach you. Only Pampa sees this.
Tap Save. If you didn’t change anything, the button says Done and closes it.
If something’s wrong
Something’s wrong opens the same private help as Help in the links under your booking. I need help now alerts the Pampa team with that one tap, and they call you first. Your pro isn’t told.
If check-ins go unanswered two in a row, someone on the Pampa team is told, so a person can look into it. Nothing happens to your booking or your payment on its own.
If it runs over
If your appointment is still going 15 minutes past its booked finish, you’ll get Still going with your pro?, then one every 30 minutes for up to three hours.
Choose All good or We’re finished. We’re finished opens the screen where you mark your service complete and rate it.
